CHICKEN MANURE IS NOT A NECESSARY IN ORGANIC FARMING USE BIO-ORGANIC COMPOUND FERTILIZER INSTEAD • Chicken manure must be thoroughly fermented to eliminate germs. Or else, there is a possibility that the farmers may be unknowingly spreading diseases to their trees such as canker disease. Fully fermented chicken manure is more expensive than partially fermented chicken manure. However, the latter contains more nutrients as durian trees tend to grow rapidly upon application.
THAILAND IS THE LARGEST EXPORTER OF DURIAN WITH MALAYSIA TRAILING BEHIND DURIAN IMPORTS FROM CHINASOAR IN 2019 • According to the Ministry of Agriculture & Agro-based Industry, the exports of Thai durians reached a whopping record of approximately RMB11.2 billion (about RM6.5 billion) in 2019. The highest exports were to China. China is the world’s largest durian importer it has a demand of 65% of the world’s imports.
